
STUDENT LEADERS
At RAIUL, student leaders play a key role in making both campuses run. We plan and run events, support our peers, help with academics, look after residents, replace equipment, represent your voice, and dedicate ourselves to making Richmond a safer and happier place.

SGA EXECUTIVE BOARD
The Executive Board is one half of the Student Government Association (SGA), a group of independently run, elected students who represent the student voice.
In the team, there are 9 roles: President, Executive Vice President of Academics, Vice President for Kensington, Vice President for Richmond, Events Coordinator for Kensington, Events Coordinator for Richmond, Treasurer, PR Manager, and Secretary. Elections are held in the Spring semester every year, and you'll get an email with how to apply.
We run lots of events during the semester, host student-staff forums, and work with staff committees to implement your ideas.
SGA STUDENT SENATE
The Student Senate is the other half of the SGA. Two or three representatives are selected for each group of majors: Accounting, Economics, and Finance; Arts; Business and Marketing; Communications; Social Sciences; Psychology; Postgraduates; AIFS and Visiting Students.
Elections are held each semester, and you'll receive an email detailing how you apply.
The Student Senate hold meetings with their major groups to gather feedback on how the academics could be improved, and work to represent those within their majors.


PEER MENTORS
Peer mentorship is a paid student worker position that is selected through an application process run by Student Affairs. This dedicated team work with groups of Freshmen to help them in their transition to London life and anything relating to RAIUL. They attend first-year classes, host office hours, and are always more than happy to help - even if that is simply pointing you in the right direction!
Positions are usually advertised by email at the end of the academic year.
PEER TUTORS
Peer tutors are paid student workers selected by and application process, run by Student Affairs. Vacancies are advertised by email.
Peer tutors help with specific classes. They tutor students who are struggling by assisting with core concepts and checking assignments. They also host office hours to help with general academic issues such as proofreading and referencing. They're always more than happy to help!


RESLIFE
Residence Life, or ResLife, are paid student workers who are selected through an application and interview process, run by the ResLife Coordinators. Vacancies are advertised by email.
The ResLife team live on campus and look after a group of assigned residents. They are almost always available and ready to help, and also deal with enforcing campus rules!
CLUB OFFICERS
Clubs and societies are independently run leadership opportunities, that have the benefit of being suited to your interests and super social!
See the clubs on offer here, and email the Chair if you see any you'd like to join! We also run an Activity Fair each semester to advertise clubs and societies. They're always looking for new members! As you get to know the club, you may be elected into an officer position. In that case, one of the existing officers will help you out!

STUDENT AMBASSADORS
Student Ambassadors are run by the marketing department, and work with prosepective students to help advertise Richmond. Vacancies are advertised by email.
They help out at open days, run the Richmond Uni social media, contribute to blogs, and are the happy faces that make prospective students feel welcome.
STUDENT AFFAIRS ASSISTANTS
The Student Affairs Assistants are paid student workers selected through an application process. Vacancies are advertised by email.
They create the 'This Week at Richmond' emails, keep the websites up to date, assist with club records and events, run advertising, and help the Student Affairs team in general.


SPORTS ASSISTANTS
The Sports Assistant position is selected through an application process advertised by email and is a paid position.
Their roles include hosting various sports games, running the Richmond STAGS Football Team, advertising sports events, and taking care of equipment.
